Description

This is a set of 5 plates in a flower-petal shape from the "Hirari" series of the "Ukiyo" Edo glassware. Produced through a glassblowing technique from the Edo period, it features color motifs from Japanese traditional cultures and the spirit of people from the Edo period.
A historic glass factory in downtown Tokyo collaborated with TOMI GLASS to produce hand-blowing glass products piece by piece, while various colors are applied by sprinkling colored glass powder to provide a tasteful, refreshing feel in various colors.
The shape of each plate has an asymmetrical design depicting a petal of a cherry-blossom fluttering in the wind. The shape of a flower appears when the 5 plates are arranged together.
They are best used for serving condiments, soy sauce, or bite-sized food—or use them to hold accessories. Set up a delightful dining space with these lovely tableware!
