説明
These chopsticks are made by the Wakasa Lacquer Chopsticks brand, a traditional craft with over 400 years of history. While preserving the traditional chopstick-making techniques, craftsmen carefully craft each one.
Chopsticks come in a variety of shapes, including circles, squares, hexagons, and octagons. As the number eight indicates, octagons are considered to be auspicious because they spread out at the end. In feng shui, it is said that octagons attract happiness from all directions and ward off evil spirits.
Particular time is spent on shaping the wood base, and the chopsticks are finished to be as close to a regular octagon as possible from the top to the tip.
The texture of the chopsticks is smooth and silky. Although they are lacquered, they have a natural luster rather than a shiny shine. The red and black colors are actually not the color of the lacquer, but the color of the wood itself. The warm colors that make use of the beautiful grain of natural wood are a major attraction.
Because they are something you pick up and put in your mouth every day, craftsmen are particular about using only natural materials and carefully crafting each one.
The lacquered chopsticks are painted evenly and carefully, over and over again, making them smooth to the touch and an exceptional product that you'll want to continue using carefully.
Chopsticks are considered auspicious gifts in Japan. For that reason, they are also used as wedding gifts, with prayers for long life and everlasting happiness.
They are the perfect gift for someone special.
