This figurine is made of bright gold-red cased crystal glass, cut and sandblasted using Edo faceting techniques, and depicts a Daruma doll, a symbol of good fortune.
The shimmering cut surface and the sandblasting process, which gives off a soft light, are harmoniously combined to create a finish that is both gorgeous and dignified.
Unlike the usual one-eyed doll, the Daruma doll has both eyes open from the start, which is said to "look straight ahead at the world with both eyes, drive away evil, and bring happiness.
