Description
This is a set of tableware, including a small bowl, a small plate, and a chopstick rest, from the "Hirari" series of the "Ukiyo" Edo glassware. It comes in flower-petal shapes in the color and design scheme of the “Tamaya" series, all produced through the glassblowing technique from the Edo period.
A historic glass factory in downtown Tokyo collaborated with TOMI GLASS to produce hand-blowing glass products piece by piece, while various colors are applied by sprinkling colored glass powder to provide tasteful, refreshing feel in various colors.
The shape has an asymmetrical design depicting a petal of cherry-blossom fluttering in the wind. The pieces can be stacked on top of the small bowl.
They are best used to serve cold dishes such as salad, sashimi or a desert. Collect together with the other series in various colors to set up a delightful dining space with these lovely tableware!
