Description
As a guardian deity of the house, the onigawara iemori should be displayed at the entrance or in an important place in the room as a good-luck charm.
This gargoyle statue created by oni-shi Enzaburo Kamiya, was crafted with great care and thought for its future user. The beautiful smoked silver color can only be expressed by firing it in a special kiln for onigawara. While retaining the original ruggedness, the charming expression on the face will never become tiresome to look at. The rounded shape expresses softness and wishes for happiness. The respect and consideration for the user can be felt at the heart of this work.
We hope that tradition will continue to be preserved and passed on to future generations with innovation.
