Description
Onigawara holds the meaning, "to watch over the safety of the family from a high place.” Therefore, it is advisable to display interior onigawara in the highest place possible in your house.
This “Jewel Onigawara” by oni-shi craftsman Akihiro Hattori was made to seal off common sense and bring out a new view of the world. Reminiscent of Balinese deity, the onigawara is intended to have a stateless and familiar character. While retaining the symbolic characteristics of traditional onigawara, beads and other decorations are omitted. With the pursuit of simplicity, the work alludes a unique presence.
We hope that more people will add tradition to their lives and live in harmony with nature.
