Description
These chopsticks are from the "Wakasa-nuri Hashi" brand, a traditional craft with over 400 years of history. While adhering to traditional chopstick-making techniques, craftsmen carefully craft each pair.
These chopsticks are long, called "saibashi" chopsticks, and are used for cooking.
The chopsticks are triangular in shape, making them easy to hold, and are dishwasher safe.
The raw material for the chopsticks is natural bamboo from Kyushu. Bamboo does not transmit heat well, making it convenient for stir-frying and deep-frying. They are also light, so you won't get tired even if you hold them.
The color of the chopsticks was inspired by the climate unique to Obama City, Fukui Prefecture, a major producer of lacquered chopsticks, the sky and sea facing the Sea of Japan, and the soft scenery of the Hokuriku region.
Because they are something you pick up and put in your mouth every day, they are made by craftsmen using only natural materials and carefully crafted one by one.
The lacquered chopsticks are carefully and evenly layered multiple times to achieve a smooth feel, making them a masterpiece that you will want to continue using and cherish.
