A mamezara(豆皿) is a small plate with a diameter of about 2.5 to 4 inches that fits in the palm of your hand.
The literal translation of the name "Mamesara" is "Bean Plate," where "Mame" means beans and "Sara" means plate. It means a small plate like a bean. These small plates are often used to hold condiments, pickles, or small amounts of food during a meal.
In Japan, some patterns have been considered to bring good luck since ancient times.
In Japanese, goldfish means "fish that brings money," and therefore goldfish are thought to bring good fortune and are considered to bring good fortune.
