The Edo kiriko technique and sandblasting, a technique of carving with sand, are combined to create a more delicate and beautiful product.
The front is decorated with a "kagome" design to ward off evil and the back with a "nanako" design for the prosperity of offspring, making it an ideal gift for celebratory occasions.
