Description

Light and water dance in azure.
This decorative Edo faceted plate was designed and cut by Satoshi Nabetani, a traditional craftsman.
The contrast of shades of light and shadow created by meticulously cutting blue colored crystal glass expresses the shimmering reflections of light on the surface of water.
The traditional Edo faceted glass pattern "Kiku Tsunagi" is engraved in the composition of swirls spreading outward from the center.
The "Kiku-tsunagi" is an auspicious pattern of continuously arranged chrysanthemum flowers symbolizing longevity and good health, and is said to be a design that wishes for continuous happiness and prosperity.
This decorative dish, which brings a sense of graceful serenity and coolness to a space, is an ideal gift for a wedding, housewarming, or retirement celebration.
