A City of Historical Heritage and Craftsmanship

Located in the central-eastern part of Osaka Prefecture, Yao City is the ninth-largest city in Osaka.To its west lies Osaka City, the center of Osaka, while to its east, separated by the Ikoma Mountain Range, it borders Nara Prefecture.

The western part of Yao City is flat, with an elevation of about 10 meters.However, the eastern part of the city is backed by the steep and rugged Ikoma Mountain Range, including Mount Takayasu, combining both plains and mountainous terrain.

The foothills of Mount Takayasu have long been a satoyama (woodland village) inhabited by people, locally known as "Yamanneki." This area is home to numerous nationally renowned historical heritage sites, including the "Shionjiyama Kofun", the largest keyhole-shaped burial mound in the region, and the "Takayasu Senzuka Kofun", a concentrated cluster of over 200 horizontal chamber stone tombs.

It is also a "town of manufacturing," boasting advanced technical capabilities and product development strength, primarily through small and medium-sized enterprises.This ranges from traditional toothbrush production—where it holds the top national share in shipment value—to cutting-edge technologies in metal products and electronic devices.

Preserving Japan's traditional techniques while challenging the world

Since our founding in 1945, we have operated as Japan's sole "raw hair import and processing company," handling everything from raw hair importation to processing and sales.

Leveraging our expertise in identifying high-quality raw hair, we began manufacturing cosmetic brushes in our own factory starting in 1980.

Cosmetic brushes follow two distinct traditions: those born from European paintbrushes designed for "drawing," and those originating from Kumano brushes renowned for "writing."

By researching the hair preparation techniques passed down in both Japan and Europe, we established a unique manufacturing method that draws out the inherent beauty of the raw hair without damaging it.

We have aimed to create products that meet the needs of customers both domestically and internationally, utilizing our long-cultivated techniques and traditions.

And we will continue to challenge ourselves in developing new technologies.
