Description
Patterns are drawn on the surface of plain glass with gold pen or sumi ink when creating Edo Kiriko. The glass is then cut tracing the pattern using a blade made of diamond. As the surface of the glass becomes uneven after cutting, it is smoothened with a grindstone.
This “Kuroco Striped Guinomi Glass” was created to satisfy the modern taste of our customers. A modern and luxurious design made using the traditional technique of Edo Kiriko. Designed with an image of a straight grain, the simple pattern of straight lines run parallel to each other. Carefully calculated and crafted, the striped pattern is evenly spaced. The color jet black was chosen for a modern and novel feel.
We hope that this simple and elegant modern design created with traditional Edo Kiriko technique will suit your modern taste.
