Description
Edo Kiriko is distinguished from other types of cut glass based on its patterns originating form the Edo period. These include the yarai, a bamboo palisade pattern, and nanako, a pattern resembling fish roe.
This is the “Engraved Glass Red Fuji Celebration Cup.” Carefully blown one by one by the highly-skilled craftsmen, this glass cup set is made by layering thinly blown colored glass over clear glass. The bright red is used to celebrate achievement and long life. The snow-capped peaks were sandblasted to create a realistic representation of Mt. Fuji.
You will never go wrong with this glass with Mt. Fuji design since it is the most popular souvenir as it best represents Japan.
